A tender for the installation of a 600 Megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) project at Khavda Ultra Mega Solar Park in Gujarat’s Kutch area has been issued by state-owned natural gas utility GAIL India Ltd
Bids for this solar project tender must be submitted by 7 December by interested parties. The next day, December 8, would see the opening of the bids
The project’s scope of work comprises the design, construction, engineering, building, erection, supply, testing, and commissioning of six solar PV units at Khavda, each having a 100 MW capacity
The successful bidder will also have to provide comprehensive operational and maintenance (O&M) services for ten years
For each of the 100 MW (AC) solar PV projects, the selected bidder will need to execute the Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) with Gujarat Energy Development Agency or Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd within 15 months from the award of the contract on a best-effort basis
An aggregate of 118 MW of wind energy plants and 12 MW of solar power make up GAIL India’s installed renewable energy-producing capacity. In three to four years, the business aims to construct 1,000 MW of renewable energy capacity
